    Adobe Photoshop
    Adobe Photo shop was released in February of 1990. Brothers, Thomas and John Knoll, noticed the lack of software designed to edit photos on computers and decided to create their own. After finding an investor (Adobe) Adobe Photoshop 1.0 was released. This program paved the way and continues to lead the charge for photo editing software today.
  • First Text Message

    First Text Message
    The first text message was sent in December of 1992 by Neil Papworth. Since phones did not have keyboards on them just yet, the first text was sent by a PC. The first text message sent on a phone was to a Nokia 11 in 1996. The impact of text messaging has increased the ease and availabilty to communicate by 7,700% in the last decade alone. Since that first text message, in 2017, it was reported that there are over 913 million text messages sent every hour around the world.
  • Playstation

    Playstation
    Sony released the first edition of the Playstation on December 3rd of 1994. Being the first gaming system with video games that were played on disc, the playstation came in at around $390 when it was released. After the release of the playstation, the xbox and playstation rivalry was created and has resulted in several innovations in the gaming community. New video game systems are being used today by children to make hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of dollars.

    DVD
    The Digital Video Disc (DVD) was created in 1995 and released in 1996. The creation of the DVD can not be credited to one single person, several tech companies at the time had come up with several variations of the disc and came to an agreement on the single design. DVDs are still used today and have continually advanced in quality and clarity over the years.

    Google
    After Larry Page and Sergy Brin met at Stanford in 1996 Backrub was created. The search engine quickly began to gain traction and was registered as Google.com in 1997. Google has grown into the largest search engine in the world, clocking 99,000 searches a second, which equals to 8.5 billion per day!
