I don't remember the exact year that my elementary school had us students start learning how to type, but I assume it was around the 4th grade. We had a computer class and learned how to type on the old boxy computer's. I remember we were all more excited to play the games that cam eon the computer like solitaire. -

My dad bought me my first MP3 player. Before the MP3 player I had a CD player that was bulky. My dad also had a desktop at home and I was able to download music from the desktop to my MP3 player. -

My dad had a Motorola flip phone. I wanted to have a cell phone so bad because my older sister had one. I picked up a weekend job at the swap meet and saved for my first cell. I was excited once I finally bought one. I bought a Kyocera flip phone. I could text and call but only talk after 9 so I wouldn't waste my minutes if I remember correctly. It was definitely so much better than using the house phone. I had privacy! -

My dad bought my siblings and I a laptop to share instead of having to share the desktop. We were able to do our assignments in our room and not my parents room where the family's desktop was kept. It was so awesome being able to lay in bed and type your essay's. I remember using flash drives to save our assignments on. -

I had graduated high school a year prior and was working. I used a lot of my savings to buy my first iPhone. It was my first ever smartphone. Before that I had the LG chocolate which had the touch screen but still the old buttons to text. -
