SMARTboards
While in elementary school, I remember teachers relying heavily on interactive smart boards. They were used to present lessons, and to have students participate by using the touch screen. -
Overhead projectors
My teachers in 5th grade used overhead projectors as a visual aid, especially in Math class. They would project them doing math problems onto the board so that we could follow along visually. -
Chromebooks
In Middle School I used Chromebooks to complete assignments, do projects, write papers, conduct research, and sometimes follow along during lessons. -
iPads/Tablets
In 7th and 8th grade our teachers also had classroom iPads and Tablets for interactive learning games. -
PC's
In 7th grade we had a class called "computer lab" where we would use PC'S to learn computer skills. We would practice learning keyboard shortcuts, practice tying, and play educational games online. -
Personal Laptop
In high school we were each given a laptop to keep all 4 years of high school. We used our laptops for most assignments, homework, quizzes and tests, research projects, writing papers, enrolling in classes, emailing teachers, and reading. A lot of our class work relied on our laptops, so much so that if we didn't have a laptop for a day we would get behind in class.
