A lot of new technology was developed in just a decade. Here are five items that were created in that decade. -
HDMI
HDMI was invented on April 16, 2002. There were plenty of inventors/founders which were Hitachi, Panasonic, Philips, Silicon Image, Sony, Thomson, and Toshiba. An HDMI cable stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. This means the picture and sound will come on with just one plug. This has enhanced our lives, so we don't need so many cables when connecting televisions or computers. -
Blu ray
Blu ray was invented in 2005 but was released to the public on June 20th, 2006. Many different companies helped with inventing Blu ray like Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Thomson, LG Electronics, Hitachi, Sharp, Samsung Electronics and Sony. Blu ray was for high-definition (HD) video. This has enhanced our lives because movies and video games look so real and easier to see. -
Nintendo Wii
The Wii was released on November 19, 2006. Shigeru Miyamoto invented the Wii. The Wii is a home console that you can play video games on. It has enhanced gamers lives because that was one of the first home consoles created and it brought a lot of beloved characters back to life like Mario. -
iPhone 1
The iPhone 1 was invented by Steve Jobs. it was invented on June 29, 2007. The iPhone 1 had many features like maps, music, Safari, and more. It has enhanced our lives due to so much information being on the phones. -
Kindle
The Kindle was invented November 19th, 2007. Jeff Bezos created the Kindle. The Kindle was mainly made to read books off of it. This has enhanced our lives because more people are buying online books. It also led a path for ipads.
