    The Difference Engine's invention was announced 06/14/1822. The person who curated its invention was Charles Babbage. It was used to execute mathematical functions. It was mainly used in engineering, science, and navigation.
  • Hollerith Punch Card

    Made in roughly 1887, Herman Hollerith Created the Punch Card. It was a piece of cardstock that stored digital data. They were used for data input, output, and storage.

    The Turning Machine was invented in 1936. It is used as a Mathematical Model of Computation by manipulating symbols on a piece of tape. It is capable of implementing any computer algorithm.

    Mainly knows as the company "HP", was founded in 1939. They provided a wide spectrum of software and hardware components. They wanted to make electronics more available for the public. They still have a massive place in especially the computing and printer game even to this day.

    Designed by CODASYL in 1959, the Common Business-Oriented Language is used primarily for business needs. Commonly used in business, financial, and administrative systems. COBOL is an English-like language for programing and executing large scale batch and transaction processing jobs.

    Tim Berners Lee created the World Wide Web. A way for information to be shared over the internet. As time went on he came to create the URL, HTTP, and HTML as ways to display and search for information.

    Chromebooks were released in 2011. A computer that was based with ChromeOS in mind. It is a simple machine that doesn't require software to be locally downloaded or manually updated. Chromebooks primarily use the Cloud to manage data.

    In April of 2015, Apple released their first smartwatch. This allowed for users to interact with their phone with just a piece of tech on their wrist by syncing it to their IPhone. There are other uses as well such as a fitness tracker, GPS, etc.
