  • Apple Powerbook Laptop

    The Powerbook’s design allowed users to easily transport the laptop. The features on the Powerbook included; a trackball (no mouse required), a floppy disk (optional), and a place for the user to rest their palm.
  • Apple Newton

    The Newton is a personal digital assistant (PDA) and was created to be a handheld computer. The Newton had a stylus that allowed a user to handwrite notes (which can be converted to text) and users were able to store contacts, print documents, send a fax, and manage their calendar.

    Windows 95 operating system (OS) brought many new features for users; one iconic feature was the start button. There was a song by the Rolling Stones called “Start Me Up” to help promote Windows 95. The operating system allowed multiple people to sign in and have their very own profiles. Another big feature was the Plug and Play that enable the computer to find and install hardware.
  • Sony Vaio PCG-505 (1st generation) Laptop

    Sony Vaio PCG-505 (1st generation) Laptop
    Sony entered the world of computing and launched its first PC. The value at the time was $2,000.00 and had a “SuperSlim” feature. Other features include 32MB RAM, USB port, floppy disk drive, headphone output jack, two stereo speakers, and modular modem jack. It also had a function for users to use a stylus pen to enter handwritten notes.
  • iMAC G3

    Apple released the all-in-one Macintosh desktop computer also known as the iMac G3. The specifications for the iMac included: a 4GB hard drive, 32MB RAM, and a CD-ROM. Apple was selling this all-in-one computer for $1,300 and the color was Bondi Blue.
