    In 1992, Neil Papworth sent the first SMS message. From his personal PC, Papworth sent a "Merry Christmas" message to the phone of his colleague.

    In 1994, Ken Kutaragi invented the first PlayStation video game console. It exploded into the tech scene and was launched by Sony Computer Entertainment. The PlayStation exploded because they used compact discs instead of cartridges which had never been seen before in the industry.

    Nokia 1011
    Although mobile phones have appeared on the market in the 1980s, Nokia launched its first cell phone in 1994, the Nokia 1011. The Nokia 1011 was the first mass-produced compact GSM phone. Before the Nokia 1011, phones were large and big, difficult for transport, this changed the future of phones.

    Amazon
    Amazon was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994. Amazon first opened for business as an online book shop on the 16th July 1995. Within a month, little shop had shipped books to all 50 US states plus 45 countries in the world. In todays society, Amazon has grown into the biggest e-commerce platform.

    Google
    Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin met writing a program for a search engine called Backrub. After the success of this platform, Brin and Page registered the domain name Google.com in 1997. They continued to develop the largest search engine of the world. Google was officially incorporated as a company in September of 1998. Google has changed the way people process information, the way people think, and the readily available access to information.
