Invention of the Telephone
The first telephone was not made overnight, there were many people who worked on it, some say that Antonio Meucci was the father of the telephone, for he created the first basic one in 1854, but the first-ever patent of the telephone was made by Alexander Graham Bell. The phone he created converted sound into an electrical signal via a 'liquid transmitter' and when sound waves hit the membrane, it caused vibrations that were transmitted between the needle and the contact. -
Rotary Dial telephone
This telephone was a huge step to the telephone, it was invented by Antoine Barnay, a French engineer who Studied Bell's and Elisha Gray's to come up with this telephone. This telephone used electricity ti\o carry sound over long distances and also used a new technique, the push-button dialing. -
ComKey 416 phone
This phone was created by AT&T atound 1975. This phone was used in most houses and it stopped using the rotary dial method, instead it used different buttons with the numbers from 0-9. It also came with features such as hands-free speakerphone. -
Savant iPBX technology
This is the telephone we use nowadays, and it's not that different from the ComKey, but it has a digital screen, is able to connect with an iPad, and other now essential functions. it was made by the company Savant
