Camera with phone
In 2002 the Nokia phone was the first phone with a camera that was made for the public. The phone could take colored photos and could be shared wirelessly. This was invented by Harry Holkeri. This was a big deal considering cameras and cell phones have always been separate. -
Facebook
In 2004, a large social media website was invented called Facebook. Invented by Mark Zuckerberg, it is not one of the most popular social media platforms in the world. This was significant because people were not able to communicate through a public internet website. -
Blu-ray
In 2006, Blu-ray DVD players were invented and given to the public. SONY's first digital optical disc data storage format. Made to read discs and store data. This was significant because it was one of the first DVD players and changed how people watched videos. -
Nintendo Wii
Released by the Nintendo Company, Wii was created. X-box and Playstation had already been invented and were fighting over consumers. Wii was different and broadened how people saw and played video games. -
First IPhone
In 2007 the first iPhone was invented. Apple combined three things into one phone, mobile phone, iPod, and a wireless communication device. Allowing customers to use the touch screen to navigate through the phone.
