Alan Turing was born 1912 in London, UK. Best known for the Turing machine, a theoretical model of a computer. He described it in a 1936 article as part of a logical proof. In 1950, he described a test to determine if a machine was considered to have intelligence as a human being. It is known as the Turing test. His goal was that if a person converses with a machine and cannot determine whether it is a machine or a human, the criterion of human intelligence is met. -

John von Neumann was born the 28 of December 1903 in Budapest, Hungary. He moved to the United States of America in order to broad his ability to do mathematics.
