  • microprocessor

    microprocessor
Created in January 1971 by a team of logic architects and silicon engineers for Japanese calculator manufacturer Busicom. The centerpiece of the four-chip set was the 4004 initially described as a 4-bit microprogrammable CPU. A Microprocessor is an important part of a computer architecture without which you will not be able to perform anything on your computer. It is a programmable device that takes in input perform some arithmetic and logical operations over it and produce desired output.
  • Portable computer

    Portable computer

It was the evolution of a prototype called the SCAMP (Special Computer APL Machine Portable) that was developed at the IBM Palo Alto Scientific Center in 1973. The Portable Computer was intended to put computer capabilities at the fingertips of engineers, analysts, statisticians and other problem-solvers.

Internet and search for stuff. But it had limited functionalities especially when compared to current search engines. Archie inspired other search engines such as google, yahoo, bing etc which people use everyday.
  • Smartphone/Personal communicator

    Smartphone/Personal communicator
The first smartphone was created by the tech company IBM. It was invented in 1992 and was called the Simon Personal Communicator. It was released for purchase in 1994 for $899. It was 20cm by 6cm by 3cm and there was 2000 made of them in total. This invention changed the world because it made it easier and more efficient for people to communicate with each other at a distance.
