  • First IBM PC was invented

    The first publicly available desktop computer was designed and executed by a team of engineers, led by Don Estridge. It was created in Boca Raton, FL.

  • CD-ROM invented and available to public

    The Japenese company Denon designed the first CD-ROM. It was officially introduced at a Sony computer show in 1984.

  • The Apple Lisa was invented and introduced

    One of the first personal computers to have a graphical interface and was aimed for individual business users. Designed in California by founder Steve Jobs.

  • Motorola DynaTAC cellphones

    This portable cellphone was a step up from the bag phones that people previously carried. A full charge took up to 10 hours and offered 30 minutes of talk time.

  • Microsoft Windows Software

    The original windows operating system, Windows 1, was created by Bill Gates.
