Videocassette Recorders, or VCR didn't get big till mid 70s. They were about the size of a briefcase and they changed the way people were able to enjoy shows and movies. Made by the U.S. Department of Defense. After the space race of the 60s people wanted the next space venture, the product was the Global Positions System. It went through a decade of experiment and testing before it's debut in 1978 with the NAVSTAR satellite. NAVSTAR satellites are still in orbit today, thought they have probably seen quiet a few upgrades since the 70s
