2005, Gameboy advance
I remember getting a Gameboy Advance. I believe I was amazed at how I was able to play games anywhere in such a small device. It's crazy that only 15 years later we now have phones that are smaller and can do more. -
2010, Computer browser games
This is my first memory of actually remembering how to use a computer. I remember playing browser games and thinking it was the coolest thing. Games like rune scape and club penguin was my childhood. I don't believe any kids even know what browser games are. -
2014, First Phone
I remember getting my first phone was the age of 14. I remember it being a flip phone and getting extremely excited that I was able to send a message through such a small device. Also, around this time I remember my brothers having these touch screen smart phones. Thats when I started noticing that technology was truly getting amazing. -
2016, Apple Watch
In 2016, my friends got the new apple watch. I thought it was the coolest thing that people were able to have a phone on their wrist. But the part that really got to me was the battery life. How was such a small device able to go almost 2-3 days without charge. -
2021, Metaverse
I haven't come across this myself, but I have done a lot of reading on this. First thing that came to mind and I'm sure others as well, was the movie, "Ready Player One". It's absolutely crazy to think that that's were our society could be on the road to. I also read about glasses that malls are using to display advertisements. It's truly amazing.
