    In 1975 Bill Gates and Paul G. Allen founded Microsoft and they released this as well as the IBM PC in1981. It was a personal computer that people could use.
  • Osborne 1 (laptop)

    The Osborne 1 was invented by Alan Kay who worked for Xerox PARC. It weighed 25 pounds and cost $1,800. It also had a 5 inch screen. The main reason why it was supposed to be useful was because it was portable compared to thick and heavy computers.

  • Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)

    It was released as the Famicom in Japan. It was created by Japanese designer Uemura Masayuki. It started off with simple games that we all know and love like Duck Hunt, Donkey Kong, and of course, Super Mario Bros.
  • Simon Personal Communicator

    This smartphone was created in 1992 by the tech company IBM. It had a touch screen as well as the ability to receive both emails and faxes.
  • iPhone (1st Generation)

    The first iPhone was revealed by Steve Jobs and released by Apple. Before it came out, smartphones used to be big clunky devices and full websites couldn't run on them.
