The First Cell Phone
In 1984 Motorola engineer Martin Cooper developed the first hand-held phone. The first phone could connect over Bell's AMPS, this allowed people to communicate with others without a landline or even home phone service. The first units were much different than what we use today but a leap for their time. -

The original Windows 1 was Microsoft's first true attempt at a graphical user interface in 16-bit. Development was spearheaded by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and ran on top of MS-DOS.
