Floppy Disk
As a sophomore in High School I can remember using floppy disk to save my work from computer to computer. Being able to work on projects from mulitple machines was a huge advancment for me. -
Lap Top
As an education student at Rio Grande, purchasing my first lap top made it easy to access my projects and assignments on the go. Taking it to class and taking notes was such an "in" thing. -
Digital Camera
Having a digital camera at the birth of our first daughter was amazing. It was much for efficient to be able to see the images and choose what to have printed, or to just save them on our computer and print them later. -
CDs
Having a CD player in our family vehicle was so much fun. We would often create and burn our own playlist with some of our old favorite for roadtrips and gatherings. -
Jump Drive/USB
Jump drives came in so handy at school to share information with other teachers. We use them the share lesson plans, fonts, clip art and photos on a daily basis. -
iPhone
The iPhone changed our style of communication in many ways. Text messaging became much easier and practical. This increased the availability of our family members at all times. -
Smart Board
Getting an interactice Smart Board in my classroom changed the way I teach. The variety of instructing, acces to unlimitied lessons, and ease of modeling from my desktop made my instructional strategies grow leaps and bounds.
