    No, it isn't something to put on when you hurt your eye. The original iPad was created by Apple and released on April 3rd, 2010. Changing the game from needing to use either a desktop or laptop, the iPad revolutionized the tablet game with a device that had significant computing power, meaning that work could be done on the go with an object that way 1.5 lbs.
  • Traveling the world from the comfort of your couch and in your underwear! (Oculus Rift)

    While not the first VR headset released the Oculus Rift was the most consumer-friendly and consumer-available headset that has been released to date. Created by Palmer Luckey, its popularity has brought around other consumer designed headsets including the Valve Index, the HTC Vive, and Sony PlayStation VR. This has allowed computers to turn into monitors that present a story to interactive stories that are brought to life by you!
  • H(DMI)appy 2 see you too! (HDMI 2.0)

    Released on September 4th of 2013 the HDMI 2.0 cord drastically changed the amount of data that could be transferred from a receiver into a monitor or TV, allowing for 4K video at 60 frames per second. This is significant as other cords were not as universally accepted by devices as HDMIs and have allowed 4K or UHD to become the norm when it comes to media viewing!
  • OK Majel? (Google Now/Google Assistant)

    Google Assistant was released on May 18th, 2016. It was designed with assistance from Google Now which was codenamed Majel after Gene Roddenberry's wife who voiced the Star Trek supercomputer. Google Assistant had its roots in the Google Voice Search released in 2011 but became the world's most advanced consumer voice AI when combined with googles super AI Google Now. This has allowed smartphones to become tiny computers in your pocket that respond to your voice!
