    WorldWideWeb (Later named Nexus), Developed by Tim Berners-Lee for CERN. While the Internet had changed the world, it was fundamentally the Browser that allowed those changes to be brought to fruition.
  • Mosaic Web Browser

    Mosaic Web Browser
    Developed by two graduate students from National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), Marc Andreessen and Eric Bina. While not being the "first" web browser, it was the first browser to allow images to be viewed within pages.
  • Windows 95

    Developed by Microsoft, this operating system would dominate the desktop scene for more than 2 decades and become the experience for modern desktops.
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

    Proposed and Developed by Håkon Wium Lie and Bert Bos this technology would change how we view information and other content on browsers, as during this time there were multiple style sheets being worked on by different browser developers.

    Developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin (two students from Stanford University) in 1998 became the top search engine due to the google algorithm retrieving the most relevant user searches among all the search engines wars during the early periods of the World Wide Web.
