Telegraph
Developed in the 1830s and 1840s by Samuel Morse (1791-1872) and other inventors, the telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication. It worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between stations. In 1844, Morse sent his first telegraph message from Washington DC to Baltimore Maryland. Typewriter
In late 1873 Remington & sons Company, famous for guns and sewing machines, produced the first commercial typewriter. -
Telephone
During the 1870's, two well known inventors both independently designed devices that could transmit sound along electrical cables. Those inventors were Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray. Both devices were registered at the patent office within hours of each other. There followed a bitter legal battle over the invention of the telephone, which Bell subsequently won.

Radio
It was Marconi that was awarded the very first wireless telegraphy patent in England in the year 1896, securing his spot in radio's history. Regardless of who created the very first radio, on December 12, 1901, Marconi's place in history was forever sealed when he became the first person to transmit signals across the Atlantic Ocean. Teletype
In 1908 Charles and Howard Krum succeeded in testing an experimental machine tat allowed a modified typewriter to print message transmitted over a telegraph line. -
Television
The first completely electronic television transmission was made in 1927 by Philo Farnsworth.Farnsworth continued to perfect his system and gave the first demonstration to the press in September 1928.
