    While this vehicle is very different from our current electric cars, this vehicle was the first fully electric car. It was invented in Des Moines, Iowa. This car began the interest in everyone making electric cars, which is what a lot of people are turning towards today as their form of transportation.
  • First Electronic Programmable Computer

    This was the first "modern day" and programmable computer. It was used in war so that the British could read secret messages sent by the Germans.
  • First Cellphone

    Created by Martin Cooper.
    The first cellphone was invented by Martin Cooper but made by the cellphone company Motorola. This invention is what almost every single person uses today. A small handheld phone that is able to be carried everywhere. This invention shaped the future of almost every person who owns a cellphone.
  • First Nintendo Electronic Gaming System

    Invented by Uemura Masayuki.
    This system was only released in Japan at the time and was later re-released in the United States as the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). This system started coming out with games still popular today, such as Super Mario and Donkey Kong.
  • First Laptop

    Invented by Adam Osborne.
    The first laptop does not look anything like a modern day laptop. It looks more like a typewriter. However, this invention modernized what almost everyone uses to this day. Without this invention most of our lives and jobs would be completely different.
