Bell wanted a way for every man to be able to communicate to each other from their own home. Thus he improved the telegraph to the telephone. This changed the way the world would communicate.     Henry Ford wanted to make a vehicle that was large enough for a person's whole family but small enough that one person could care for own their own. The automobile industry caused an increase in other industries such as oil, steel, glass, and rubber. The Ford company also offered better benefits and paid white and black employees the same. This caused people seeking work to move close to Detroit wanting to make a better living.

    In the 1920's the radio became very popular after the war and become a household staple. The radio could provide sports programs, news programs, and entertainment programs all over the nation all at the same time. The radio was able to reach more people and different audiences with advertisements and even sale products. Families would sit down and enjoy programs together and even enjoy a sporting even together that would not normally get to go to.

    In the 1920's silent movies were becoming a huge source of entertainment in the New York and California areas. People wanted to escape their daily problems and enjoy themselves. The movies were something that the whole family could go and enjoy. This form of entertainment was a result of people having more money to spend and wanted to keep entertained thus entertaining themselves.
