moviola ( splicing with a machine)
The moviola was th first ever machine which you could edit from and it was made by Iwan Serrurier . However in the 21st century we use editng software like 'avid' or preimer pro which allows us to film, then edit via computers, however in 1924, there had to the moviola, there had to cut the tape using the machine -
Reel to Reel( linear)
the reel to reel editng is linear , which was the authentic way to edit. this is before video tapes came around where you get parts of the tape and put it together to mke a film -
non-linear
it had all began in 1992 where electronics were made so we could use computers which allowed us create and use editing software's like Adobe Premier, Avid and Final Cut Pro. this was good as no slicng was used an on top of that it is so much qucker and easier -
Period: to
current day 2010-2017
recently the editng has eveoled massively as there is different versoins and more advanceded versions of Adobe Premier, and Final Cut Pro.
