Attack on Pearl Harbor (1941)
On December 7th, 1941, Japan launched a surprise military strike on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. The attack resulted in the destruction of numerous ships and aircraft, killing over 2,400 Americans. This event led to the U.S. entering World War II, declaring war on Japan the next day. -
Brown v. Board of Education (1954)
Brown v. Board of Education was a court case that occurred in 1954. It was a case that made It all the way to the supreme court, which declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional. It combined multiple different court cases which challenged the "separate but equal" doctrine. The court case ruled that separate education facilities are inherently unequal. It paved the way for the Civil Right Movement, promoting racial equality in education. -

On September 1st, 2001, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks occurred in the United States. 4 planes were hijacked and two were crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, causing thousands to die. The 3rd plane hit the Pentagon and the 4th plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people died and led to massive global security changes.
