The Navigation acts were to try to restrict England's trade to not let them be dependent on imports and be more independent. They said that only English ships would be allowed to bring in imported goods. -
Anglo Dutch Wars
The Anglo-Dutch wars were caused by disputes about trade. The English started attacking Dutch merchant shipping. All of the conflicts happened at sea and the English won most of the conflicts but the Dutch started using small warships to capture English Naval boats. -
Bacons Rebellion
The Bacon's rebellion was to challenge the royal authority. It was an armed rebellion of Nathanial Bacon vs Berkley. Jamestown ended up being burnt to the ground in the end. -
Glorious Revolution
The Glorious Revolution was the overthrow of James ll who was replaced by his daughter Mary and William of Orange. It was a bloodless revolution and provided the English protections. -
French and Indian wars
The french and Indian wars are also called the 7 years war. It is where the French and Indians were fighting and the North American colonies were made to believe against the French. The war gave Great Britain territorial gains but the wars expenses led to colonial disagreements which then led to the American Revolution. -
Salem witch trials
The Salem witch trials were a series of hearings and accusations of practicing witchcraft. All of the girls inflicted by the witchcraft were claiming that they were possesed with demons.The people that were prosecuted were hung in front of everyone.
