Everyone either wanted or had a Blackberry, and bbm was the way to reach your friends with other Blackberry's. In a sense, it revolutionized messaging. Think of imessage, for IPhones. -
Microsoft Xbox 360
This was a big step for Microsoft. Gaming seemed so much better, the games were great, graphics seemed like they couldn't get any better, and we got to experience a cool era of Halo and Call of Duty. It changed the way we all gamed. And was a huge seller for Microsoft. -

A whole new way to take your music on the go, with the ability to store thousands and thousands of songs on one little device with a display & track-wheel. We went from having 256mb iPod nano's, to 16gb+ of storage at the tip of our finger. -
iPhone 2g
First iPhone, and phone, for Apple. Everything we loved about iPods, combined with a sleek phone that everyone wanted. The current resale value on these phones is insane. One recently sold for over 60k, still sealed in the box.
