    Professor Redekopp introduces  a stupefied student to the world of Technology!
    A student by the name of Jessica is intimidated and quite honestly terrified at the idea of using any electronic, data processing device for any reason at all, is shown the light (by which i mean the value technology) by the wise and knowledgeable professor Redekopp. She will never be the same again. (a bit of an exageration but in all honesty Jessica was slightly anxious.)

    Jessica learns about making podcasts. She is intrigued by this technology yet appalled at the sound of hearing her recorded voice. A character building exercise; useful yet scarring. She will never be the same.

    Jessica thought hearing her voice in a podcast was bad...needless to say she was highly disturbed at the suggestion by Professor Redekopp to practice making a video in the computer lab. As it turns out Jessica quite enjoyed this exercise and it proved to be good practice for her which she now considers very valuable!

    Jessica has some good old fun making posters on a website called Glogster. This technology thing is turning out to be less stressful, and more fun and easy than she anticipated! What a surprise!!!

    Heres something Jessica never thought she'd do...create a website?! Turns out it's not nearly as complicated and daunting as she thought It would be! Dare she admit it was even kinda fun?!

    It was around this time, with the introduction to sumo paint, that Jessica finally began to aknowledge the value of the tools that Professor Redekopp was forcing her to explore. As stubborn and set in her ways as she was, Jessica began to admit that these tools were quite easy and fun to use and who knows, may even proove to be valuable in the classroom. Jessica, who once was afraid to fail at the whole technology was finding herself intrigued by the possibilities it offered.

    Jessica learns about a website called timetoast, and other similar websites for creating timelines. Jessica takes note of this as a useful tool for later use. Conveniently she discovers that it is an appropriate tool to use for her teacher and technology final exam. She also discovers what Professor Redekopp was referring to in "important ideas #9 - the black hole of time".

    RUBISTAR! and other cool stuff
    Professor Redekopp introduces Jessica to a very useful, exciting, time saving tool for future use in creating rubrics! Jessica is very excited about the potential this tool creates for her as a future teacher. Professor Redekopp also introduces her to other interesting tools such as animoto, and doink. By this time Jessica is sold out to the idea of technology and is soaking it up! She determines to incorporate these tools into her future lessons.

    Jessica discovers that she can in fact talk! Who would have thought? Professor Redekopp is astounded and nearly falls off his chair as Jessica along with her group members blow the minds of the class in one of the most impressive presentations of all time. Jessica has truely made a transformation at this point.

    Jessica is introduced to yet another cool technology tool for creating inimated videos. Jessica is intrigued by this tool and determines to learn more about it and its value in the classroom however is slightly hesitant to delve into the "black hole of time" once again.

    Last Lab
    The last lab class of teacher and technology proves to be an emotional experience for Jessica as she reflects on the transformation she experienced from the beginning of the term. Jessica has changed from a skeptic to a hopeful pre-service teacher, who looks forward to incorporating her new found knowledge of technology into her own classroom! Thank you Professor Redekopp! All sarcasm aside... Jessica really did find your class very valueable and thanks you.
