Once Presidant Obama took office many people started protestinf against his beliefs in fear that the things they loved would be outlawed. One specific event is the Taxpayer March on Washington. These were people who wanted the amount of taxes to go down. -
Binghamton New York
in Binghamton New York on January 24 in the year 2009 Trever Leach organized a Tea Party Protest that almost two dozen people attended and protested the obesity tax on beverages in New York. -
Mesa, Arizona Protest
Over 500 people protested Obama's arrival saying his policies would lead America towards socialism. -
Shout Heard Around the World
On live TV,reporter Rick Santelli shouted, "The government is promoting bad behavior." In the middle of the Chicago Stock Exchange, Santelli said that America needed "a new kind of tea party," so that citizens can express their discontent with "the government's support of fiscal irresponsibility." -
Stimulus Bill Protest
A total of 30,000 people gathered in 50 different cities to protest the newly passed bill. Many were also upset over the economic stimulus packages and bailouts for Wall Street. -

Tax Day 2009
This event was the first scheduled national protest of the Tea Party Movement. At this event the Tea Partiers adopted the "American Tea Party Anthem". This event attracted over 4,000 people. -

Anti-"Obamacare" protests dubbed "Recess Rallies" were held in front of at least 100 Congressional offices. -
Wooster, Ohio Protest
A 9-12 (A group launcged on Friday the thirteenth, also a television and radio group.) project sponsored a protest that opposed government spending, unemployment benefit extensions, and a health care reform. -
Tea Party Express
The Tea Party Express was a cross country bus that was planned to stop in 33 cities to convince Americans to detest the overwhelming amount of spending, bailouts, and the growth size and power of the government. -
Pink Slip Campaign
The goal was to send 5,000,000 pink slips to members of Congress that read "YOU ARE BEING PUT ON NOTICE" and government health care

As of November 2009, 8 million pink slips have been sent to Congress costing $29 each. -

Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin assumed the #1 role as a teapartier. Out of the 600 people that attended the convention 500 were there for Palin's speach alone. During her speech she said "America is ready for another revlution.' She also stated that the movement is "about the people and it's bigger than any one king or queen of a tea party, and it's a lot bigger than a guy with a teleprompter.' In saying this she meant that this movement cannot simply be controlled or forced to do anything. -
Debt Cieling
In a poll in April, the Tea Partiers protested the raise of taxes. Many Americans became angered at the Tea Partiers because they were blaming only the Republicans. Very little blame was put on the Democrats. The Tea Partiers became very unpopular and were viewed as extremists. -
Sharron Angle's Nomination into Senate
Partially credited for the nomination of Sharron Angle over the establishment favorite Sue Lowden for the Senate seat of Nevada. -
Unsaid Salaries
Martin said that she was making $6,000 a month for her work. But activists haven't been able to officially confirm her salary or Meckler's. Meckler refused to say how much he's being paid, even though this information is required to be disclosed on a charity's tax forms. -
March on Washington
Though this event was organized by the FreedomWorks Foundation, almost all Tea Party orginizations participated. Between 600,000 and 800,000 people attended this event. -

Well, I guess that's true AFTER paying out salaries, consultants, telemarketers, attorneys, etc...And yes, Jenny Beth and Mark Meckler hired a consultant without most of us even knowing about it and now that consultant has encouraged and those two have decided to start soliciting donations from our own local tea party participants so that they can pay themselves and others" -
Unfavorable Poll Results
As of October 2013, the Tea Party Movement is less popular than ever. A poll shows 49% of the public have a negative opinion of the group and only 30% have a positive opinion.
