The diffusion of books could be a slow task because they were done by copies handwritten by monks.

The BBC's first broadcast
The BBC began scheduling regular television broadcasts, however just a few hundred viewers in the area could see the programme. The first broadcast that would ever be shown was "Opening the BBC television service". The service should have been reaching arround 40,000 homes but the outbreak of World War II meant the service had to be suspended in September 1939.

Atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Japan)
1945, United States dropped two atomic bombs in Japan, in Hiroshima and in Nagasaki 3 days later. This ended the Second World War.At least 240.000 people were killed in Japan.
It's a horrible event because it killed entire families and caused different diseases.Must be scary to live a moment like that one and see you can't do anything. How could a country do something like this? I would like to know how the pilots that dropped the bombs felt about it.

The first moon landing
The first manned spacecraft reached the moon, and the first man walked on it in what might be the most important moment in the century; and as he landed, he uttered a phrase that will be remembered for centuries onward “That's one small step for man but one giant leap for mankind”. This singular feat shall be remembered through the ages, since no achievement in the future could archive more significance that this one.

The first video game console was Magnavox Odyssey. It went on sale in 1972. It would be a revolutionary invention. You only could buy it in America. In fact, if you wanted one of them, you had to go to Magnavox store, the only point of sale. This might be the most entertaining game to play at home.

The European Union (EU) is a join between many countries. That means that it should a economy and politics union between those 28 countries. This union has worked well since 1958 when they signed an agreement. But since some years ago Europe has a crisis because the economy isn't working properly. Those economic problems have caused that some countries wants to leave this union. In the case as United kingdom whom did a referendum the last year and
they have decided to leave EU. -

A lot people voted that they wanted to leave Europe. All that have caused that some people are “rude” with a foreign people because the referendum says that the foreign people will stop to come to UK. Actually just England wants to leave Europe because Scotland and Ireland don’t want it so England will have a problem when “united kingdom” disappear. England has been always a nice mix culture but this will stop soon. -

I think this is the most important new of the last year because many people leaved them house, family and friends to start a new life in other country just to improve them future so it not fair for this brave people. Some people around the world might feel disappoint with this decision because this is a global problem. I can understand that England decided to make some changes to improve the situation of England but in my opinion this could be a wrong decision. -
