Development

Tarapoto rises from 96 to 124.96 hab./ha. from 1998 to 2004. Since September 14, 1906, the city is part of the department of San Martin. In the year 1960, Tarapoto, Morales, and La Banda de Shilcayo counted as a whole an area of 220 hectares, with a population of 16,000 inhabitants and a density of 72 72 inhabitants / hectare. -

Today already has social services such as hospitals, pharmacies, clothing stores, shopping centers, among others. It also has modern buildings, and the streets begin to acquire a Lima look and modernity.
