Whiskey Rebelion
The Whiskey Rebelion is an event that took place on January 1, 1719. The government had placed a tax on whiskey and the citizens didn't like this. Instead of paying the tax collectors, the people used violence. The whiskey Rebelion demonstrated that a new national government had the will and ability to suppress violent and agressive resistance to the laws. -
