    This day was the end of construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and 16 people perish during the construction. The bridge was to be tested for passenger trains to check if the bridge is strong for many vehicles. 2 months after the construction, the bridge was offically opened to public and massive partys happened.

    This day marks the time that the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be offically opened to the public and that construction of the bridge has ended. This was a very great year because of the opening and it changed life. No longer do we need to go onto ferries to access the city.

    On that day, a plaque was put on the south-ease pylon which honours the 16 workers who gave their lives to build this bridge. This plaque was dedicated by Premier Morris Iemma in the name of the people of NSW.
  • The bridge tolls are fully cashless

    On this day, all toll booths leading to the city are cashless and use the E-Tag and E-Pass system to enter the CBD. If a vehicle comes into the CBD without a tag or pass, the vehicle will be taken a photo and the driver needs to pay within 48 hours sharp,

    On this day, there was a picnic on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it is now become annual because it happened again in 2010.

    This day marked the 80th Anniversary of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. On this day, picnics and partys happened at Bradfield Plaza and everyone was given an 80th Anniversary balloon to take home for future generations.
  • Blackmores Sunday Marathon

    A few months from now will be the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival. The Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Cahill Expressway will be closed due to runners running on the bridge in all 3 races and a family fun run.
  • Spring Cycle

    On this day, all southbound lanes leading to the City is closed because most of the cyclists finish their ride at Prymont while others head from North Sydney to the Sydney Olympic Park. This is a bike event.
