Brain surgery
Had surgery to remove a brain tumor I was in fourth-grade. I would have been in middle childhood. And in the stage of Initiative vs. guilt. The systems involved were the insurance company, hospitals, doctors, school and my family.
This event impacted my life trajectory by leaving me disabled due to brain damage along with some cognitive struggles. This event is also the beginning of my desire to be a medical social worker due to my experiences as a patient at Saint Jude's. -
Earned drivers License
I earned my drivers license at 18 this gave me a new sense of independence I had not yet been able to reach. Earning my drivers license set me up to able to achieve the other life milestones I later met. -
College graduation
I earned a bachelors degree from Missouri western something everyone thought I would never be able to do. I was 22 years old and the stage of intimacy vs isolation. The systems involved was the university I attended.My life trajectory was influenced by setting me up for future careers and graduate school. -
First Job
I started a Job at the division of youth services as a Youth specialist. My life trajectory was effected as later on went on to be a Supervisor for the state setting me up for other jobs along the way. I was 22 years old and in the stage of intimacy vs isolation. The systems involved was the division of youth services, the state of Missouri and the court systems. -
Getting Married
When I got married I was 25 in the Intimacy vs isolation stage of young adulthood. This has affected my life trajectory by opening up the conversation of children. Leading us into buying a house and turning down a job opportunity in Colorado.
