Childhood
Suzanne was born in Paris, on May 24th, 1899. She was the child of Charles and Anaïs Lenglen. In her childhood, she was extremely athletic and took up many activities, even though she suffered fro asthma. Young Training
Suzanne was an exceptional player, and after training for multiple hours, it was obvious that she had a gift. Even though she was recovering from asthma, she played an excellent game at a very young age. First Battles
Suzanne was trained vigorously, and had an extremely tough time training with her parents. Although, they must have done a good job. Suzanne's first win was during the World Hard Court Championships, in 1914. ALthough, WW1 soon after started, and her career was put on pause.

Outrageous Persona
Suzanne was a daring woman. She would wear, what at the time would be extremely outrageous clothes. From her bright red lipstick, to her short dark bob cut. These striking clothes made her a fashion icon. She was also known to going for a drink instead of water after game, or even mid-match!

Style of a Ballerina
Suzanne Lenglen was a revolutionary. She played multiple games and won them, but her style of playing was what made her so popular. Raging Sucess
Suzanne Lenglen, or ‘The Goddess’ won various awards. For starters, she won six Wimbledon awards and also competed and won in the 1920s olympics. She had an incredible winning streak, barely losing any games in tournaments.

Mysterious Retire
Suzanne Lenglen retired shortly after starting her career, and winning multiple rewards, after only a few years. It was claimed that she was emotionally not stable to play tennis, and retired because of that reason. She announced her retirement, however in 1928.

Death
Suzanne had a tragic death, only a few years after retirement, she had died. Suzanne had struggled with some illnesses in the past, although this time she was diagnosed with leukaemia which eventually killed her.
