STUDENT SAMPLE: I begin studying for a test...
I begin studying for a test and my friends want me to go meet them at a party. I, impulsively, go to meet them instead of study for my test that is tomorrow. -
Period: to
The final is taken and graded...
-
I receive my grade from the test...
Since I did not take the time to study and instead made an impulsive decision without fully thinking of the consequences, I did not receive the grade I wanted. -
Period: to
The next day...
-
I ask my teacher what I can do...
She suggests that next time I can talk to her, or find a better place to study without distractions, and to make sure I put my priorities in order for school. -
Period: to
I start studying for my next test...
-
The next test is coming up...
I decide to study in advance, talk to my teacher, and spend more time learning the lessons; instead of impulsively going out with my friends or studying the night before the test. -
Period: to
I take the test and receive my grade...
-
I recieve my test score...
I got an A+ because I did not make any last minute impulsive decisions, I planned out my success, and I made time to study to learn all the information. Since I took more than one day to study, I could still have time to spend time with my friends without detracting from my grades.
