    Common sense by Thomas Paine was published on janurary 15, 1776. It was made to inspire people in the 13 colonies because of the fight for independence from great britian in the summer of 1776. Luckly the panthlet did help people and inspired them.

    the declaration of independence was made to declare independence. it is probably the most important document in american history. The preamble is the introduction, which talks about the equality between all humans. the 3 rights are life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. the first part of the declaration of independence is the introduction. the second part is probably the most famous. it declares that people can change a government when it abuses your right, with good reasoning of course.

    the 3rd part explains how the king viloated the rules of the government. the declaration of independence made a huge inpact to america. the most important way it inpacted america is because of it making it official that america now has independence.

    one of the first real battles between the british and the american forces. the battle shifted from new englant to the middle states.when a large british fleet arrived in new york washington knew his army was no match for the british armies. nathan hale, who worked as a connecticut officer, was caught trying to collect british battle plans, and got sentenced to death. he became famous for his last words which were, "i only regret that i have but one life to lose for my country"

    the americans were led to attack the city of trenton.they had to cross the delaware. the german hessian solders were guarding the town. america had victories 2 times in a row. im guessing they were pretty happy about that.

    the british goal with saratoga was to drive twards albany ny from 3 directions. there plans with saratoga was capture forts, move west, and have an army down south up the hudson. they failed because america cut off the british that were moving in from the west. the americans finally defeated the british on october 17th 1777.

    valley forge is in pennsylvania. the british spent their winter in philadelphia pennsylvania. the americans winter is very harsh. they were struggling, they had verry little food, and clothes. also they didnt have shelter. some didnt even have shoes or socks. even though the conditions in valley forge were pretty harsh they came out better trained.

    the king was split in what to do next, the french were so eager to get revenge on britian by weakening them. they sent benjamin franklin and john adams to negotiate peace.the result of the treaty of paris for the americans was nice and smooth because of them now being a good nation.
