  • Steve Jobs was born and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs

  • Jobs family would move to Mountain View, California

    California was known as Silicon Valley at the time which helped him get into computers.

  • Steve would graduate from high school and attend Reed College for two years before dropping out

  • Steve drops out of college to visit India to study eastern religion over the summer

  • Steve joined the Homebrew Computer Club and helped Steve Wozniak create their first computer

  • Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak would create a company called Apple Computer Company where they would sell circuit boards

  • Apple would release its Apple II computer to the public and would see the most success than any company in US history

  • Apples Struggles

    Apple would release the Apple III but it experienced difficulties so they took it off of the market to rework it. They would then release the Lisa which was meant for people new to computers but it did not sell well and they lost half of their market share to IBM.

  • Steve gets fired

    Steve gets fired from Apple, then goes and buys NeXT from George Lucas which would then be bought by Apple later in 1996.

  • Steve becomes permanent CEO

    In January, Steve would reveal Apple's new internet strategy by including Macintosh-only applications and later announce that he was going to be the permanent CEO of Apple
