Steve Jobs Leaves Apple
Decreasing sales and profits lead to the deteriation of Jobs relationship with the CEO, John Sculley. A power struggle developed between them, and after Jobs attempted to stage a "boardroom coup" the Board promptly removed Jobs from his position of head of the Macintosh department. Jobs founds NeXT
Shortley after leaving Apple, Steve Jobs Founded NeXT Computers, a company which made business and higher education oriented computers. -

The iPad was another device which Steve Jobs helped developed that faced heavy criticism when it was launched. Again Apple exceed everyones expectations as iPad sales exploded and the tablet industry grew exponentially as others tried to tap in on the new market. -
Death of Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs finally succumbed to cancer on October, fifth, 2011. Many doubted whether or not Tim Cook, the new CEO would be able to lead the company and come up with innovative products like Jobs had. Steve Jobs had lead Apple to sucess twice in the past, and many investors and customers wondered what was in store for the future. -
Steve Jobs Legacy
After Steve Jobs death, the company continued to be sucessful, taking in record profits and releasing new an innovative devices. On August 20th 2012, Apple became the most valuable company ever, at the time it was almost 200 billion dollars more vauluable than the second largest company in the world, Exxon Mobile. Products evisioned and developed by Jobs still carry Apple forward today. Software from NeXT (Jobs's second computer company) is the basis for the OS X and IOS software used today. -
