The Truman Doctrine was a United States plan to stop the Soviets from expansion during the Cold War, Truman planned to contain communism to Europe, and if a country was threatened by communism the US would offer aid. -
Marshall Plan
The Marshall Plan was America's plan to support Europe and Asia after World War II, giving them $13 Billion (160 billion today) to help rebuild their economies after the war ended. The goal was to restore European industry. -

The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. North Korea, supported by China, invaded South Korea, which was protected by the UN. The war was partly caused by thr separation of Korea after World War II. -

Construction of Berlin Wall
A wall was constructed by communist East Berlin to separate itself democratic West Berlin. The wall was meant to cut off West Berlin from the eastern part of Europe, and anyone who tried to escape from East Berlin to freedom in West Berlin was killed on sight. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
The Cuban Missile Crisis was a dispute between the US and the Soviet Union because the Soviet Union had ballistic missiles deployed in Cuba. It was in response to the failed Bay of Pigs invasion.
