Stanley Kubrick was born in Manhattan, but was raised in the Bronx in New York city. He was the first son of Jacob Leonard Kubrick and Sadie Gertrude Kubrick. Both parents had a Jewish background. -
First film related job
At thirteen years old, sttanley was given his first camera by his father, which he had used to take artistic photos of New York. First Film
Stanley's first film was a documentary short, titled "Flying Padre". The film was about two days in the life of a priest named Father Fred Stadtmuller, whose parish is so big, he can onlyspread his word with the help of a mono-plane. The film is nine minutes long. -

The Killing

Paths of Glory
This film was about a World War 2 soldier who refuses to attack an enemy position and gets accused by a general, of cowardice. The only one there to defend the soldier, is the commanding officer. This movie turned out to be a hit, and is considered a great classic war film to this day. -

Spartacus
This film is about a slave named Spartacus, who leads a violent revolt against the culturally declined Roman Republic. It was the second film that he had made with Kirk Douglas.
