Bloody Sunday

What- The end of the 54-mile civil rights march.
Where- Selma, Alabama.
When- March 7, 1965.
Why- To commemorate the death of Jimmie Lee Jackson who had been shot by a state trooper, while trying to protect his mother during a civil rights demonstration.
How- White state troopers started assaulting the marchers. -
