In 1781, The Battle of Yorktown was the last battle of the American Revolution. The Americans and the French trapped General Cornwallis's army at Yorktown and he soon surrendered. -
The Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris, ended the American Revolution and was made and signed in 1783. The chief negotiator was Benjamin Franklin, and territory much larger than thirteen colonies was given to the Americans. -
The Constitution
In 1787, the Constitution was wrote by James Madison, but it was thought up by people that got accepted and attended the Constitutional Convention. The Constitution was also signed by 39 delegates even thought 55 attended the convention.
