In the 1800's, the Native Americans enjoyed lacrosse, shinny and games of chance. White settlers liked to play sports on a team beacuse they wanted to gain popularity in the East. Rather than baseball, the white settlers like rough and tumbles games such as wresling and groping. They also like hunting beacuse it is a way to show their skill. -
How Hockey Sticks Were Made in the 1800's
In the 1800's the hockey stick was carved out of one piece of wood. The hockey sticks back then were not very good but did the job. There was a little argeement about hockey sticks commercials. Lacrosse was played on fiesta days between famillies, friends, villages and sometime clans. There was no equipment in the 1800's just sticks and a ball. Now a days there is so much equipment so injerys are rare but back then there was no equipment and people got injeryed more. There was no teams, the people in the villages made teams that day and it was for fun. -

The first recorded baseball game was held in 1846 when Alexander Cartwright's was playing. In 1858, the National Association of baseball player, the first organized baseball league was formed. The founder of baseball is Abner Doubleday. he created baseball in New york. Then it became one of North America's favourite games. -

The game of hockey was developed in Canada in 1825. The first recorded use of the word hockey was in the early 1800's. The game started with kids playing hockey on a pond with a wood stick and a wood puck the kids got from their dads. How Baseball Bats Were Made in the 1800's
In the early 1800's baseball bats were all kinds of shapes and sizes beacuse the baseball players made the bats themself. One of the players bats could be really long and fat and another players bat could be really small and skinny. IN 1859 the baseball bats could be no longer than 1m and 6cm and the diameter of the bat could be no more than 6cm.
