STS 3
STS 3 was the 3rd space shuttle mission and was the 3rd mission for the columbia space shuttle. It lasted 8 days, STS 3 was the 1st launch with an unpainted external tank. It was also the only mission to land at the white sands space harbor close to las cruces, New Mexico. The crew was Jack R. Lousma was the commander, and C. Gordon Fullerton he was the pilot. -
STS 4
STS 4 was a NASA shuttle mission using the space shuttle columbia. The mission launched and then landed a week later on the 4th of July. STS 4 was 1st shuttle mission over all, and it was also the 4th mission tto use the spacecraft columbia. The crew was Thomas K. Mattingly II who was the commander, and Henry W. Hartsfield Jr. he was the pilot. -

STS 5 was the shuttle mission to deploy communication satalites into orbit. It landed after 5 days and the crew Vance D. Brand was the commander, Robert F. Overmyer he was the pilot, Joseph P. Allen he was the mission specialist 1, and Lenoir was the mission specialist 2. -

STS 6 was a NASA space shuttle mission used in the space shuttle challenger, carrying the 1st tracking and data relay satellite, TDRS-1 into orbit. The space shuttle was the challenger shuttle. The crew was Paul J. Weitz who was the commander, and Karol J. Bobko he was the pilot. -
Space Shuttle Chalenger Mission

An O-ring seal in its right solid rocket booster fail at lift off causeing the shuttle to fail, explode, and fall to the ground. They belive the cold weather Caused the O-ring to sring a leak.
