Robert H. Goddard launched the first liquid fuel rockets into space in 1926.

The first artificial satellite was put into space in 1957 to bring back signals to earth. The first artificial satellite was lunched by USSR.

First Animal in Orbit

1957

In 1957 the first animal was launched into orbit: a dog named Laika. This space exploration was launched by USSR. Sadly Laika didn't make it back alive.

In 1995 Valeri Polyakov, from Russia was the first person to be in orbit for the longest duration. Polyakov was in orbit for 437.7 days.

In 2001 U.S. NASA landed on an asteroid for the first time in space History.

Space Telescope

In 2009 the first space telescope was launched into space by Kepler Mission. The USA wanted to research earths expo planets.

Rover

2012

In 2012 the first rover landed on Mars successfully. U.S. NASA was looking for life on Mars.
