Viking 1 Launch
The Viking 1 spacecraft launched in Cape Canaveral, Florida to find prrof that there was water on Mars. It also found volcanos on Mars similar to the ones in Hawaii. It stopped working in 1982. -
Viking 2 Launch
Viking 2 launched in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The camera took about 26,000 photos of Mars. Both missions were supposed to last 6 monts, not 4-6 years. It stopped working in 1980. -
Launch Voyager 1
The Voyager 1 was launched to collect data from other planets. The mission is still going on until now. It was the first space exploration other than Earth and the Moon. -

Space Station MIR
The MIR space station built by Soviet Union and USA launched and lasted from 1986-1996. It took ten years to build and costed 4.3 billion dollas. Total of twelve nations visited MIR, it was the longest lasting space station. -
