    Soviet RKA started 1960. Explored Venus and mapped the surface. Took 4 tried to send back info. #13 took first colored photos. #15-16 used radar. Only landed for a few hours befor it got to hot.

    248 miles above the Earth. Meant to bring peace between countries. Looks like a bright light from the perspective on the Earth. Cost 100 billion dollars and orbited the Earth of 50,000 times.

    Pasadena California and Denver Colorado. 216 million dollars for one mission. Collected solar winds while orbiting Earth's atmosphere.
