Ferdinand Magellan went to the Philippines. He also conquered islands for Spain. Roman Catholicism was spread by spaniards who followed Ferdinand to the Philippines. -
Arrival of Dutch Traders
Portuguese were driven out of the region by Dutch traders. Timor was the only island Portugal kept. Tea and spice were gained by the Dutch. -

Colonies, plantations, railroads, and mines were set up by the British and French. Indians and Chinese worked at the colonies. Christianity was spread by French and British. -

The Khmer controlled a large empire and was very advanced. It was called Cambodia. The only thing that reflects Hindu religion and their advanced civilization is Angkor Wat.
