The British, along with the French and Dutch, controlled most of India and the British were slowly pressing their control further and further. Image: The French previously held power in India, but this did not last. The French were kicked out of India which gave Britain the upperhand. This impacted India because Britain had more control allowing them to industrialize India. The British also helped expand India and make the country stronger. -

Taksin also promoted trade and relations with countries such as China, though most of his time spent as ruler in war. This shows that in some places European powers were not controlling all of Asia, but that some countries still remained independent and were fighting different empires. -

Image: In modern-day Thailand, the country of Siam is founded and the capital Bangkok is created. This demonstrated another successful revolution resulting with the overthrowing of an empire and the people of the land controlling themselves. -
End of Taksin the Great's Rule of Thailand
Image: This marked the end of an era in Thailand's history. This event is important because Taskin's rule was not the end of Thailand's independence. Thailand continued after the execution of Taksin. -
Asiatic Society is Formed
Image: The Asiatic Society, formed by Sir William Jones, was created for the study of Asian history as well as Asian customs. This demonstrates Nationalism in India as well as an interest learning about Asia as a whole. -
Dutch East India Company dissolved
Image: With the Dutch and French East India Companies out of India, the British had free rein over much of India. The British expanded building more ports to increase trade while also pushing their power around India for more and more control. This demonstrates the state-building taking place in India because Britain now had free rein and could build. -

Image: The British Raj, British rule, meant that Britain now had complete control of India. The British could now expand their empire by claiming complete control of India. This allowed them to increase trade with China as well as more access to textiles. Britain industrialized India by building railroads. -

Image: This society was created by people who wanted to reconcile the religious ideas and traditions of ancient India. This created a new religion in India. It also created an influential movement after the rebellion and helped with the movement to give India back to its people. -

Image: The East India Company had enough power that it allowed for the English to easily trade and industrialize in India. This also gave Britain a foothold in Asia so they could further expand their empire east. -
