Eckels and the guides reach the past: A.D. 1957. -
Exposition
Travis explains to Eckels the importance of staying on the trail (butterfly effect) and killing the marked dinosaurs only. -

They spot the giant T-Rex, who is marked with red paint. -

Eckels chickens out when he sees the monstrous dinosaur -

The dinosaur saw Eckels. They begin to fight it. -

They find out that Eckels went off the path while battling the beast. -

Travis threatens to leave Eckels there, but instead of leaving him there, he makes him remove the bullets from the dinosaur. -

They arrive back to present day and Eckels notices a dead butterfly on the bottom of him shoe. Eckels realizes that his little creature's death caused many things to change such as language and who has won the election. -
Resolution
Travis kills Eckels for killing the butterfly and causing changes in present day.
